The bedu (bedouin) are the most recognisable and famous people of the Middle East. This is partly because of their strong culture, ferocious defence of their independence, nomadic lifestyle and harsh living environment. Nowadays, most Bedu have accepted mainstream Omani culture to some degree.
Every late afternoon Omanis seemed to stop working and studying and meet in public area to play football, drink coffee, chat and dance. Most evenings I would join the local boys for a game of football. While playing near Ras Madrakah I noticed these fishermen dancing a traditional Bedu stick dance to music blaring from their jeeps.
